What Kidoriman means

キドリマン

Kidori is Japanese for "putting on airs." Acting a little more refined than you are. We took it as a challenge.

A pile of our drawstrings, waiting for their pants.

Why name a brand after that?

In Japan, kidori is a light tease. We liked flipping it. Kidoriman is clothing that makes you look put together without the act.

You look like you tried. You didn't.

Is Kidoriman a Japanese brand?

We're Japanese-inspired. We're fans. We admire Japanese culture, and we wanted to make our own clothing inspired by it, at a price that makes sense for every day.

Our design takes its cues from Japan: clean lines, relaxed cuts, quiet colors, and names like Kireina (clean, beautiful) and Sora (sky, open space). Everything else is built for an ordinary day, wherever you live.

Is it a costume look?

No. Our pieces are made for regular life. Pants with a plain tee and sneakers. A shirt under a jacket. Morning walks, travel days, slow weekends.

Nothing to dress up for, nothing to explain.
